I have spent a majority of my time over these days considering and planning what pieces and composition they will that the form of within the final presentation. this was mainly aimed at which of the preparation and planning work i wanted to showcase alongside the final illustrations when my work is submitted for the deadline and moderation.
I also spent some of my time working within a media that has given me trouble in the past and lacking outcomes that didn't work out as well as i had hoped, this media being oil pastel. I always used to find it difficult to work with due to the mess that it can make and the extremely permanent effect it has on the page, as with the diameter of the tip i found issue with getting the tight and clean outcomes that i had wanted to. I decided to do a series of pieces on this page rather than just the one as i initially had no idea what colour scheme to use so i decided to use those that had worked best for me in the past, these being blue tones, warm hues, grey scale and attempting typical rock formation coluorings. Throughout this process i had the page fixed down as to remove the chance that it may slide or move during my time working on the surface, in the aim to keep a higher level of accuracy within my mark making. Whilst i also tried to keep my colour schemes separated as to keep the different pieces clearly as separate pieces, however within this there are some clear areas on which the boundaries become close or connect as i continued the lines slightly to ensure the form had been conveyed clearly. I regularly wiped away the excess residue left on the pages surface as to keep my working area tidy but also to ensure my work was smooth and presentable for a potential [place within my final presentation.
From here i intend to begin working on the presentation but also on designing the look of the leaflets i intend to present within my work during the show containing my details.
