Today i spent my time working with water based media on a variety of the concepts that i have created with the aim to use the bold colours to impact the observer and draw attention to the piece.
With my first concept i found the use of minimal colour worked best as it exemplified the form that i had created and drew more attention to the head and across the page.
When it came to the markers i found the colours hard to blend and found when i tried layering them that the colour didn't saturate it simply wore away the surface of the page. therefore i feel that whe i use alcohol based markers that they may blend on the surface of my page but i will have to test them first as they are a type of pen that i haven't used before.
From here the next media types that i wish to try and use are sharpies and the aforementioned alcohol based markers over my concepts to see how they fare in comparison with what i've already done prior.
