Day 74 - 24th May - Ordering My Published Outcome

Today is the day that i complete my work on the finalized comic and order it through the web service Blurb. the web service directs you to use the application known as Book Wright which i found easy and intuitive to use as it also cautions you on how the printing process will take place and how there should be a safety margin to stop any vital elements from being lost. I found uploading my images and editing them into the format to be a simple and straight forward process that made this personally daunting task vastly easier to complete.

The images were uploaded via a selection window which made my working process much easier to progress with quickly. It was also very helpful that the covers were places separate to the covers, as it helped me to visualize what my product will look like at first glance in the hands of anyone who picks it up.

when i created my front page in the book i went for the simplistic approach with only the title and author visible as i don't want it to detract from the panels that i've worked on for the last two months. As a result i searched through the site Dafont for a simplistic font to use and compared a few options on my page as they could be set out on the page and selected a Gothic sketch font as i felt that it related most to  the context of my work and contrasted the very angular nature of the panels on the following pages.

I also spent some time following this prepping some copies of my concepts ready to start my colour tests and experiments next week, with some varying scales for what i feel might be media that need more space to build up the detail and depth of tone that i want to attain.
